Mexico!

Yes folks, thats where we spent our afternoon... Mexico!

Okay, obviously not. But it was about as close as we're going to get for awhile, and it was gorgeous! We spent the afternoon at Crystal Crescent Provincial Park, about 35 minutes from Halifax.

The little red circle at the top is approx where we live, and the big red circle at the bottom is the park.

It was beautiful and sunny today, around 25'C. But there was definitely a big difference from Mexico... the water was freezing! We did swim a little, more than anyone else on the beach, but it was still short-lived. The dogs didn't seem to mind too much though! We spent most of our time hanging out in the sun and running in and out of the water. Then hiked along a trail and found Mackerel Cove... the nude beach! While we didn't partake in that particular hobby today, I thought it was great that there was an area where people could.
I'd like to go back with my wetsuit and snorkel and see if I can see any lobster or fishies! There were some rocky areas, and the water was unbelievably clear.
There's not much more to say... it was a beautiful day at a beautiful beach. Scott is fully sunbunt, and I am gloating as I slathered myself in sunscreen and am burn free. On a side note, I bought some Mexitan natural sunscreen about a year ago and this was pretty much the first time I used it on a day of sun and beach - it worked amazingly. We were out in the full sun for hours and swam too, and I'm not even close to burned.

 Shake shake shake!

 We had some company!

Hanging out in the sun back at home!
And another beautiful sunset staring into our living room.

  2. It wasn't deserted or anything, but it certainly wasn't busy either. There were several other dogs running around playing too. We'll have to take advantage of taking the dogs there now though, because from other pictures I've seen it looks like it gets pretty busy later in the summer.
We'll definitely have to go there when you come visit! Apparently there's about half a month in the summer where the water is bearable, haha.
