It turns out that campsites in Calgary close at 9pm, and if you show up at 9:05pm then too bad. Guess we'll have to plan a bit better today! So we ended up staying at Econolodge, and nearly had to sell a kidney to do it! $130/night, and that seems to be the average rate (it cost us $10 for each dog.) We were so tired, couldn't wait to sleep... then the keys didn't work. So I waited in line and got new keys... then they didn't work either. So almost an hour later I waited in line again and said we'd be going somewhere else. So they gave us $30 off and a different room. The room was fine, except our neighbors in the adjoining room decided 3am was party time.
But it was sure nice to have a shower this morning, and we definitely pirated our money's worth of continental breakfast, so all in all things are good.
Hoping we'll make it to Winnipeg today! So far I think the prairies are quite picturesque, we'll see how I feel in 12 hours!
