Blizzard was bad enough for the RCMP to close highways down. This morning highway was opened for an hour then re-closed, travel is NOT advised. Being born in Manitoba I know how horrible these storms are...good that you guys stay put and wait it out...here's a good reason why.. Two soldiers based at Canadian Forces Base Shilo in Manitoba died early Sunday after the SUV they were in went out of control in wintry driving conditions.
The RCMP say the SUV with a total of four military personnel from the base went off a bridge about six kilometres east of Brandon and landed upside down in a creek.
Police say one of the passengers was able to get out of the vehicle and get help.
Where's the snow? Major blizzard?? Surely they know what snow looks like in SK.
ReplyDeleteBlizzard has moved thru Manitoba. Hiways closed as of 9AM. Forecast warm and sunny tomorrow. Praying.
